Most don't run gauges and just follow the directions that come with the light..

The acerbis comes with mounts and a diagram on the lighting.. You can't use high and low beam just highs all the time

Re: turning my bike to a street fighter

pull the plug off of the stock lights, wire the streetfighter light up to the one on the stock plug that has power....simple. don't make it harder than it is.

Re: turning my bike to a street fighter

I just took the high beam wire and used it, left the low beam wires undone on my f4i. The hi beam low beam switch, all that does now is turn the light on and off.

As for the guages i zip tied em to the top triple. Works like a charm.

keep track of your wires. theres one positive and one negative to each headlight in the stock setup. run those to the corresponding headlights on the acerbis. pretty simple.

as far as mounting gauges...get some big *** zipties. otherwise your gonna have to fabricate some sort of metal bracket to mount it onto.

Re: turning my bike to a street fighter

I put my gages in between the forks and light, I hooked up my lights so that when I flip the switch, both lights, high and low, would come on. That way I could go to a lot and not have the damn light be in my face at night. I cant tell you how I did it because I totaled the bike soon after i streetfightered it but, just start connecting wires, you will figure it out.

Re: turning my bike to a street fighter

Nikoli, surely if you just connect the cable from the light on/off switch directly to both the high and low beam bit of the headlight then when you turn them on both lights will come on, and when you turn it off it'll go off

Acerbis headlight. Cut off the mounts on the back of the gauges and ziptie them to the tripple.
