05 CBR 600rr HELP!!!

Hey guys looking for some help on installing frame sliders. I bought this pair and cut holes in my fairing and all, but the bolts were wrong or at least I thought they were. Neither side fit. The Right side has that big bolt that you have to loosen another bolt and to loosent the big on but it doesn't move I cant loosen that **** for nothing and on top of that I lost my bolt that I have to loosen before I unscrew the big bolt. On the left side its a smaller engine mount. and neither bolt that came with the set is the right one.

Another question I have is whether to get a freestyle ingenuity cage or a powers stunt worx cage. The only thing is that I already put holes in the frame where the sliders go and Powers uses a different mount point. Someone please help and I appreciate all the help i can get, pics, videos, and pics of other 05 cbr 600rr with either a freestyle or a powres cage. Thanks.

Re: 05 CBR 600rr HELP!!!

those websites have tons of pictures of cages on them. the stunt picture section has a ton of, obviously, stunt pics in it. you can tell the ones with FI or powers cages usually, or ask and see who's got what.

Re: 05 CBR 600rr HELP!!!

But powers don't have any pictures of my bike with the cage on it, plus I already drilled holes for frame sliders... do you guys think puttin a powers cage and some sliders to fill the hole would be ugly..

What do you plan on doing??? obviously not stunting if you were just going to put on sliders.. Look into the powers race rails

well yeah stuntin, sliders were the first thing I got, they gave them to me when I bought the bike. but they ended up being the wrong ones... I found that out after I drilled the holes.

my tail plastic is SHATTERED......got a nice clean tail sitting there though ready to put on, but I'm lazy!

don't get a 905 for the 600RR......you'll break numerous pegs and rearsets......I carry two extras for each side with me whenever I ride!

SICK INNOVATIONS.......................haven't heard anything real bad about Freestyle Ingenuity either though. Heard MXD's was a good design but gets mangled up fast. 905's and 600RR's don't get along!

Bullo also has a different cage on his bike that he swears by, might hit him up!

Ya when I get a cage for my 6rr thats probably what I plan on doing.

Has anyone heard of any problems of the FI cage striping out the motor mounts on the 6rr?

not yet... just remember most of the time its happens to people becuase the bolts losten up and they dont tighten em. keep up on that and you'll be fine. also if they bend, replace em.

Re: 05 CBR 600rr HELP!!!

I just got some info that with a FI cage it sit so low on the 05 rr that when it goes down it it hits the slider and then tips over more leaving the rest of the top of the bike up for grabs by the floor.

its the frame design more than the cage design........905's are really bad about it..........but its because the motor mounts are so low up front its hard to get a cage that sits higher on the sides to prevent that........get any cage and it WILL happen if you drop your bike hard, or at funny angles, or at speed!

I haven't heard anything but good from people who have the FI cage on the 600RR, but have seen them destroy gixxer and 954 motor mounts! Only time will tell.
