06 cbr600rr idle adjustment?

Re: 06 cbr600rr idle adjustment?
replqace the battery and remember to turn your key off next time.......don't add any extra crap either.......no neons or led lights..haha.....get a battery tender if it runs dead again and leave the leads attached to the battery under the seat and make it to where you can plug it in, without taking the seat off, when you get home if the battery is running low
Your idle won't adjust anymore because the stock idle screw is either broken or screwed al the way out of its adjustment. Pull up your gas tank and airbox, lift off your throttle bodies and make sure the stock idle screw isn't broken and is threading in and out of the threads nicely.
Look between the #2 and #3 throttle bodies where the throttle cables come in. There are two set screws there, one that points almost straight down when you have the throttle bodies on(I think its gold), and one that points forward when the throttle bodies are installed(I think its grey or silver). Both bo the same thing, stop or "set" the throttle bodies minimum throttle......replace one of these allen set screws with another idle cable (F2,F3,900RR are the best, but another 600RR cable will work fine).......I would recommend using the silver colored set screw, that way the idle screw isn't binding as much when you are turning it and you'll break less idle screws that way!
or you could hit the "search" button for "600RR idle" and "F4i idle" and someone once posted some pics of it somewhere.
