Help lowering 06 R6 and Loosing the tail

Just need some good ideas on lowing links and sets for the rear... how do you lower the front. My brother bought this and it's about 2 inches to tall for him.

Also, we need some great ideas on sleek designs to loose the airplane tail that thing has. All help very appreciated.

Thanks

Rodney

take the mounting bolts out of that tail piece ( you are talking about the aluminum piece that holds the plate right?) and ether buy a tag mount or make one, as for lowering... i dont know if they are the same as the 03-05, if it isnt mabe you will have to wait a lil while for someone to make lowering links for it, as for the front... new springs or you can do it the gangster way and slide the fork tubes up in the tripples farther

I'm sorry, but lowering your bike basically ruins the handling, usually when people want bikes lowered, they are uncomfortable on it to begin with. If you cant flatfoot it with both feet, your fine. Look at all the MX guys that are 5' tall. When do you need to touch? Just when you stop. Just a waste man,I'll stop rambling.lol

-if you must, they sell lowering links at any bike shop, usually $130 for some descent ones.

i kind of agree... but if you're 5' on a 636 you're basically ****ed anytime you stop, i'm 5'10" and i can't flat-foot that bike.... i'm not sure about the r6 though.

sorry-I actually meant when people want to lower thier bikes, its for drag use, not because they cant touch the ground with both feet.

sliding the fork tubes is the way most people do it... some bikes its ok to do it on... some bikes you will get mad head shake from it, springs are the wat to go to do it right. but that requires sending them out to a suspension shop

your's is an 04? mine is an 03 and it's really tall i think... like i said, i gotta be on tip-toes for both to touch, or if i cram my nuts into the seat i can stand flat-footed... it's not hard to ride by any means, but i think a 5'5" or below person might struggle.
