Re: help wiring switch for cbr600rr fan

what? why?

i have my headlights rewired so the high beam is on and the low beam is off.

are you wanting to make your headlight switch into a toggle switch for your starter???

Are you trying to get rid of your ignition all together?? I'm not following what you are trying to do here.

Re: help wiring switch for cbr600rr fan

my cbr600rr is a streetfighter so, i dont want to spend money on a switch for a fan when there's switches on the bike already like the highbeam and lowbeam there should be a way to rig the high/low beam to turn the radiator fan on or use the ignition when the fuel pump goes on

Re: help wiring switch for cbr600rr fan

yeah buy a cheap switch ... make a ground and splice into the wire coming off the fan ... pretty simple ..

Re: help wiring switch for cbr600rr fan

i have mine wired to a switch... if you have the fan wired to something that turns on when the key is turned on the fan will turn on when you turn the key, if the fan runs all of the time it keeps the bike cooler longer ( under where the fan would normally turn on with the thermostat or temp switch)

Re: help wiring switch for cbr600rr fan

yea wanted to keep the bike cool, do i have to touch the thermostat or something, so it doesnt turn on at a certain temp, because i ran a switch from a splice in the wire that goes to the fan and the other wire to the ground but it doesnt do anything i check the fuse for the fan and its good

Re: help wiring switch for cbr600rr fan

if you are planning on running a handbrake, you won't want to keep your high/low beam toggle switch. As for the fan, if you just take the wire that connects to the radiator thermo and ground it to a fan bolt it will run all the time when you turn on the switch. Real easy fix!!!
