oil pan mod

has anyone ever used gasket paper to mod the f4i oil pan i was talking to a drag racing and he was telling me to take and use gasket paper and seal up half of the oil pan from the back to the oil pick up screen and that would help hold the oil in a little longer i just conserned that the paper will break down and clog my screen there for causing more damage
