Re: New 905 crashcage

nope, that is solid cold finish steel, it started out as a solid bar of steel. the holes are to make it lighter. that steel is way more rigid than tubing and the holes just allow this cage design to work. otherwise it would be too damned heavy if it was just the solid bar. I've dropped that cage in the pic on that bike REALLLY hard trying to learn cirlcles and it didn't even bend at all and it didn't bend any motor mount bolts or motor mounts either. I took the right side off to do a clutch after dropping it hella hard and everything unbolted just fine and the bolts were not bent and the cage half just fell out of the mounts with no rubber mallet or sledhammer needed. and everything lined back up perfect for the reinstall.

I'm working on 2 f4I cages right now and when I get them done I'll post up the pics also. :YEAH

Re: New 905 crashcage

That cage looks nice homeboy! I am a 905 guy myself but I had a BADD crash two weeks ago, back peg braket broke!! I must have been going like 80mph! I think it was the top of forth gear!! All I can say is thank god for icon and kbc!!! My cage is trash! I had to cut it off the bike to remove it!! BUT IT DID save my motor! Everything else is trash but the dam cage did its job I had dropped my bike several times before and it worked every time! Now I just got a parts bike in with a powers cage so, we will see! I hope it is half as good as the last one!
