Yup--take your fuel pump our and shake it--I had a metal shaving grounding out the terminals which kept popping the fuse everytime i turned my key on.

This might help

If it's not a code then i would start going over your wiring harness for frayed wires or something unplugged, hope that helps

Re: 03/04 636 problem

its just the fuel pump not coming on....i used to be able to lay the bike on the kickstand side ....pick it up and it would start....... a couple drops later that didn't work.....How would laying it on its side make the fuel pump work?

Have you checked your tip over sensor? That will not let the pump prime if its tripped....Not much else besides the kill switch and kickstand switch will prevent it from turning on, unless theres an electrical problem.

Tip over sensor. If you lay it over and it shuts off, turn your key off and then back on (after you pick the bike up), fuel pump tip over sensor should be reset.

If it's still giving you crap, it might have moved of something, making it not act correctly, I would DEF check on the TOS.

if its not a code or the TOS or the kickstand, wiring is most likely the problem... i've had a couple fuel pumps go but that is more rare.

Re: 03/04 636 problem

Last week we had one minty 636 with same problem fuel pump didn't turn over- everything else was ok. Then on kawiforums someone sayd it was the ignition lock- changed it and it worked. But after that changed back to the old ignition lock to take it up to warranty job for it- and it worked! So the connectors must have been oxidize or some **** like that? weird...

just to let you guys know...
