Ok, wtf did I do to it this time.

I go to practice at this industrial park in my area, and before I get there, my bike starts acting up, for those who dunno, its an 04' f4i.

But heres the deal, Im riding along the highway, and go to pass someone, and so I strike it, at about 9000 rpms, the revs jsut shoot up and theres no power behind them.

I think nothing of it, and I go to this spot,I start clutching some up trying to work on my throttle and brake and I get about 2 in.

After that, I try to clutch more up and when I snap the clutch out, the revs are just shooting up and theres no power to send me up onto the back wheel. So I just came home because I dont wanna **** it up anymore then it is.

What the hell is the deal? I may have kicked this **** this morning, so what the hell is this **** for? It might be the cause of my problems.

Oh damn, Ill check em, I did **** with them when I put that raptor lever on a while back, so that screw is the idle adjustment though? How high up should I turn that idle up? I know some guys told me to turn it up while learning brake/throttle.

Re: Ok, wtf did I do to it this time.

that **** was happening to me one time and turns out it was just a screw in my moose lever that keeps the lever tight if u run the adjuster loose, it was keeping the clutch from engaging all the way by basicly havin the lever partially pulled in. check something like that.

Re: Ok, wtf did I do to it this time.

yea def sounds like clutch, but it could be that you need a new clutch too, might not be a perch problem...

Take the oil fill cap off stick your nose in it. If it smell like burnt wombat **** then you fried the clutch. You need a new clutch.

hahahahha its to adjust your idle. idle is how much gas your bike is getting without touching the throttle, its normally at around 12000rps depending on the bike. when youre doing slow stunts in order to keep the bike from being jumpy by using alot of throttle input u turn your idle up to 3k to 4k rpms depending on gearing/stunt attempting/bike size etc. then you can get the bike up past the balance point a little and the bike will get continous gas while you tap tap tappy tap that brake to keep it from going over too far. this allows you to do silly stuff like take your hands off the bars.

wow!
