f4i help...still

my f4i has been down for like 3 weeks now,its not priming the FI and i dont know why,YES the ****ing tip over is jumped,YES the kill switch is fine,i can tell because when i disconnect them i can hear the relays click..NOW i bought a NEW wiring harness,CDI,rectifier,and relays now the FI still wont prime everything that i can see is hooked up fine and the wiring harness is in great shape..when i hook power directly to the fuel pump it comes on and it pumps gas out... i test lighted the 3 prongs on the wiring harness that the fuel pump plugs into the far left prong has a good ground,the other two are dead...what else is left on an f4i that would be broken or disconnected that would keep the fuel pump dead like it is?????

check ur fuses idiot...ur starting fuse in that lil black box under ur seat, then attached to that box is a lil clear one with a 20watt fuse in it, check that...then a lil further down towards the tank is like a red cap, pull that off and theres a 30watt fuse under it....i guarentee u one of them is blown

Re: f4i help...still

sounds like you already checked all the basic shiat id have to get my hands on it to diagnose it but ya if you run a hot wire to it off the ignition it should work fine, i hear you though i like my shiat right too

Re: f4i help...still

what about the ignition switch there a lil resistor in there if it burns out the pump wont come on, prevents hotwiring it

Re: f4i help...still

ALL fuses are good,ive tryed both the igntions i have,ive tryed both my kill switch pods,ive jumped the kill switch directly at the connecter,its got all new relays,new cdi,new rectifter,new wiring harness and still nothing..ive done all the basic **** and WAY more...something is wrong but i dont know what else is on an f4i that i havent already checked or replaced that would keep my fuel pump from getting power.

Re: f4i help...still

run a inline switch to your fule pump.
B = Battery
/ = Toggle Switch
P = Fuel Pump wires [2]
------ = Wire

[B]------[ / ]-----[P]

Re: f4i help...still

I'd just go through the troubleshooting section on the servicebook.Everything should be checked with a multimeter, just cause it clicked doesnt mean that parts are still good. Trial and error sucks, way to expensive to go that route.

Hope you get it fixed man.
