battery question

i got a 2000 CBR that im fixing up ... im going to try to get it running tomorrow but it doesnt have a battery ... can i use the battery out of my 05' gixxer ? it seems like they're different so i didnt know if i'd mess something up in the batter if i did it

as long as the battery fits in the battery tray, you're good to go. They all run the same 12 volts, and the cranking amps are also very similar. I swap batteries out of bikes in the garage all the time if I need to charge them.

YUSA batteries will pretty much interchange with most bikes... but be careful!

i dont care if it fits exactly im not going to ride the bike today .... i just want to try to get it started once i put the motor back together

im surprised .. i had an old battery for a cbr sitting around for the past
3 1/2 years ... i figured its only use would be as a paper weight ... i charged it up and it held the charge

whats the part #. the gsxr600 up to '03 used the same exact battery as the F4. I have a F4i batt in my f4, one more amp than the standard f4 batt and quite a bit more cold cranking amps. Works alot better for me.
