Putting together another bike. I have an '05 600 frame and 04 600 motor - have read everywhere they will mount up - having allignment issues.

Is there a trick or order in which to properly install the motor mount bolts?

Just seems like I can get 3 of the 5 supporting bolts in and things are off after that.

Any help appreciated.

Have you loosened the adjuster bolts at the back of the frame?? Loosening them up as much as possible will allow you to twist the engine from side to side in the frame. The first bolt you should line up is the one in the back on the bottom and then the one above it.

Yes, I have the adjustment bolts wide open. I have tried every possible combination of putting the bolts in, but no luck. I can get 4 bolts in, and it's a *****, so I am 99% sure this frame is bent, but I can not find any damage on it anywhere???

If I only run with the two rear bolts and only use two bolts up front, not using the fifth bolt it should be fine, right?

On the left side of the frame toward the front there are 2 mounting points. If you leave the one toward the back out you should be fine.
