Flipping the tripple tree and clip ons....Safe?

Is flipping the clip ons and tripple tree safe to gaina lil height for a more comfortable rideing position? Im using stock Clip ons and triple on my 99 gsxr 6 hundo.....
Any thoughts?

does the gsxr have a lil ring you can pull off the top off the fork tubes?? i think it would be ok my boy put his like that for a lil bit then he got db's for his bike

just swap the clipons and put em on top, left to right, right to left and flip em over.

I did it on my 600RR.. just make sure they are tight and its all good. I had to trim the upper a little though. I dont see the point on doing it on an f4i. The 600RR felt way low after riding an f4i for the last year. I like it better with the clipons on top.

ive had my clip on pop off the fork tubedoing a seat stander..just tighten them down real good
