How To Check Relays

so i can't get this bike to start. i have my tos wires done. I DID CHECK MY MAIN FUSE. i have power going to my starter button. what i don't have is a fuel pump or an actually starter when i hit the button. i know on the brake side of the subframe there are two relays, is there a way to check them and does anyone know if that could be the issue.

Re: How To Check Relays

if your gettin no fuel pump it's not gonna be the starter relay...

gotta be one of the switches (tip over, clutch, neutral, kickstand).

Re: How To Check Relays

oh... and those 2 relays on the subframe are the fuel cutoff, and the engine stop relay.

The starter relay is right next to the main fuse... just so ya know, but still has nothing to do w/ no fuel pump.

I had a relay go out in my F4i, and if the one with the brown wires is bad your fuel injectors won't prime. I just ordered on from the honda place and they are $30 or so..

definitely one of those if you arent getting any fuel pump action. it could also be the ignition. Theres a diode in the ignition switch that sometimes goes bad. It's a theft deterrent feature that makes it more difficult to hotwire the bike. If you have the means, borrow somebody's ignition and see if it will start if you have checked all of the above. Check the kill switch as well.

Did all this start after a crash or are you building a bike?
