929 Clutch Problem

yo, im pretty new at this bike scene, but i cought on fast. i have a problem though, my 929 started making a clicking noise after it warms up, and its only when im on N and let go of the clutch lever. its a clicking noise inside the Engine/Clutch cover, but i can feel it everywhere. its pretty weird, any ideas on what it can be, and solution, ofcourse.

Re: 929 Clutch Problem

I would guess either a bent shift fork or the detent is not aligned properly on tht shift drum causing the dawgs to tap each other.

Re: 929 Clutch Problem

but why would it only rattle when i let go of the clutch, im talking about not moving. also, i think it might be my clutch going out. the gears are being forced on. every time i shift it jerks. i hope it is, and not the tranny. does it sound like it might be the clutch?

Re: 929 Clutch Problem

replace it and find out. but a nice mechanic will tell you to replace the cheaper possiblities first, and work your way to more expensive ones.

Re: 929 Clutch Problem

Dammit, I'm almost postive I posted this before, check with your honda dealer on a clutch recall on the 2000 929, I think there was a steering stem bearing recall also.
