swapping 900 rr frames and years
ok i ran into a problem..
seems the new frame i got is slightly diff than my 1998 frame.
where the shock mounts is off about 3" or so.
so my swing arm is up way too high and wont work .
question is.
will a new shock from the older model 900 fit and make everything the right height once again ?
please dont guess.
let me know if u know 4 sure.

1993-1995 frames are different than 1996-1999 frames. The rear of the frame is changed and thus the subframe is changed. The shock mount Im not sure about. I know that you can swap old style swingarms with new style frames so that should be the same. changing the frame with the same shock and swingarm is ok.. but changing that.
Did you look into the angle of the triangle piece that teh shock bolts to? Iknow you can flip it and lower the rear of the bike a couple inches. Maybe thats on goofy now.
