yes it is, oil light came on and his engine blew. started knocking like crazy, took it to the dealer and had to have 2 rods replaced and a new crank put in. cause: oil starvation. 2005 bike with less than 5k miles on the motor.

sorry man, it's probably just that bike, for whatever reason there was an oil starvation problem....it never happened on mine, nor 3 bikes here.

I didn't know it was that far forward until i changed mine to a stuntex pickup. The stock pickup pulls oil about an inch above the drain bolt in the front.

Yeah it looks like 06 still got that shitty oil pan design.
And just for example, this is 600RR...
Just have to ask WTF they think in suzuki factory while design that pan?
But other than that, new gsx-r 600 seems a really nice bike! Anyone stunted it yet?

ya, that pan is in the front. it's a good idea to make a deeper pan that is smaller diameter so they can get more depth, but not in the front. kawi's pan is really deep in the back and the pickup goes way down in the oil. at least on my 05 it is. very nice design

Re: Gsxr Help Page------------------------
My bike looks almost exactly the same. I have an 05' gsx-r as well. Anyway, what sprocket setup do you ride with, and where can I find that front set-up; with the headlights and the plastic number plate. Appreciate the help.
Thanks
Thanks

IAT (intake air temp) sensor. it is located on the right side of your airbox and screws in from the bottom. clean the connection there and plug it back in and see if that helps...if not, the sensor has gone bad.
