stoppie help...

i started rolling stoppies about 30-35 feet by the end of last summer....i couldnt get them any better because my brake didnt seem to be as smooth as it should...as it was gettin colder it kept gettin worse...

well i got the bike out this weekend because we had some 40-50 degree weather and tried a couple stoppies and it was even worse than before....it feels like when you start pulling in the brake lever it sticks as you pull it in...if i try to come to a stop using just the front brake, you pull the lever in and it will apply a certain amount of pressure....it will stay at that pressure, and as you continue to pull the lever, your braking power doesnt increase...then all of a sudden, it will apply a bunch more pressure....its hard to explain, but basically, the brake doesnt apply with one smooth gradual movement.....anybody know what the problem could be...

BTW, I'm on a stock 03' R6...

+1 Especially the area where the lever meets the piston. If it gets dry and dirty, it will do exactly what you are experiencing.

Re: stoppie help...

so does anybody know how hard it is to do this on a 03' R6? How hard it is to get to the area where the lever meets the piston?

Re: stoppie help...

easy just push the lever forward and the piston is the part where the lever hits the master cylinder
