Re: Chopin Stockers
yoo just cut my stock pipe and re welded it. i just cut the cap and had the cap re weelded like 7 inches down. its loud as fukkkk. listen to kj cuz my stock chop with a good weld is louder than my jardine rtone on my other f4i. i might have to open tha biitch back up and do that to the inside pipes.
o yea after i put the chop pipe back on. the fukin fi light comes on all the time and bike runs shitty sometimes. might not have nething to do with it. but i rode it to **** with the stock pipe. cut it and now it runs shiitty sometims with that fi light on
ahh damn stuntbike mysteries

Re: Chopin Stockers
awesome skills - great post.
I spoke to a few "specialist engineers" who just got all scared when I tols them what I wanted to do, and didn't wanna do it.
I'll get on it asap.
Thanks

Re: Chopin Stockers
looks nice!
I just used a stock R6 can, stole the tip off that, then riveted the R6 tip to my stock 900 can. no baffle, is completely ****-people off loud. lol.

Cant tell from pic????
I wonder? The plate that was welded on, is it pictured blocking the last exit chamber from the rest, or is it something that he said the welder put onto the exit pipe end (not pictured). No before and after pics posted, so I dunno still. Although it might be obvious if I just open mine up...but I wasnted to be prepared. Just got a welder and I'm dying to do this!!!:YEAH

Cut the other end off the exhaust.. the link pipe end not the end cap.. it's just clear there with no inner so you can cut 5" out and leave all the chambers in place which should make it as quiet as possible whilst still being short.. can't see how you can make it any quieter than cutting the back end off instead of the end cap end
It's a ***** to cut though!!! My stock is half done... had to cut down my race can in the end as I needed the ground clearance.. that was even more of a *****

Re: Chopin Stockers
yeah... this is old....
and found a much easier way to get the same quiet pipe.... just cut around the inlet cap weld... then chop out your 3-5" inches... then chop off a couple more inches of the straight part of the mid pipe right where it goes into the can.
Then re-weld the inlet cap back on.... THEN re-weld the mid pipe back on the inlet cap. This keeps all stock chambers/baffles and gives you the shortness you need.
Oh yeah... you gotta grind the welds off of the factory hanger and re-weld or just use a big hose clamp like i do.
I swear this thing is even quieter than a stock pipe!!! AND it gives you a much more noticable low end throttle response and on idle pull.
