I'm not understanding why anyone would want a louder pipe than a D&D

+1 Loud pipes are annoying in a lot. They draw unwanted attention and are obnoxious. But yes, it will be louder if you cut it down.

Re: short pip loudness

my cut down stock isnt much louder than it was at full length. I've heard a cut jardine it was like 2 times louder than full length. Stock pipes saves lots

I used to have the stock length Supersport, and everyone complained about that. I never thought much about it until I was riding my brand new 636 and I let a buddy ride the ZX6 with V&H....damn that thing was annoying! I think shorter will make it more so.

I like my stock pipes that are cut down...good sound and not too annoying. Sounds good when getting on it down the road, but not too annoying in a lot!

Re: short pip loudness

In my area, the cops have been known to give out excessive noise tickets for loud pipes...mostly to sportbikes though. Seems Hardleys just don't get those tickets...wierd, huh?
