Stoppies
Everytime I try to pull up a stoppie the front tire immediatly locks and wants to throw me off... it gets pretty nasty if I don't let off right away.
Do I need a newer tire? My tire right now is pretty cupped and no tread left but I've seen people on bigger bikes still roll long endos with a cupped and no tread tire.
Some big riding is going down Jan 29th and I at least want to be able to do some stoppies even if they aren't long ones.

Re: Stoppies
It was warm weather and I am doing it right the way I think...
Get going about about 30mph and then grip the tank with my knees lean over and press down on the clipons and as im doing that i give it some brake and sometimes it comes up a little bit but most of the time it locks or slides out.

Re: Stoppies
dont go for distance on those 250s bro, they're just not good for stoppies...only way I could do it was coming to a complete stop...I would do the squid-style stoppie, IE yank that brake and lean forward lol, its not you its the bike trust me, I thought I just plain sucked for stoppies but as soon as I tried them on my 636 I was rollin 40+ feet...so yes IMO 250's suck for stoppies, be careful on that thing if you do try...
