Lots of Advice

I'll try and keep this as short as possible. I own a 94 900RR that I bought last spring. I ended up losing 2nd gear about a month after I had it. I guess its a common problem. Last year I dealt with first gear wheelies through the whole summer, I could do descent stoppies for a beginner, they were about 20 ft. Burnouts I got down right away, and I can do christs. Well I now have a new motor so I really want to learn slow wheelies and 12's this year. I hear everybody talking about gearing, 1 down 2 up, 1 down 5 up. Whats the best combo for my bike? I've got a 12 bar, I havent put it on yet, and I'll probably get the engine cage because I know I'm going to crash. Any advice on learning new tricks would be greatly appreciated, not just 12's but anything in general because you guys to me are the best in the world. I love hearing your advice and seeing the pictures. Crazy people, I love it

im not an expert by any means but im alright ill try to help out if i can, First off i wouldnt drastically change the gearing right away learn all those tricks on stock gearing and change the gearin once you have them down pat. But if i had to recomend some id say like 1 down 3 up, And with the 12 bar learn on tail its much more forgiving then the metal bar. go through a few tails untill you wanna start learning tricks that use the bar not just touch and go scraping tail..
