Re: Question about cages for honda 929.....

I am also curious about this question. MXD was suppose to be re-designing his cages so they were much more like the F4i's. Any news on that? Also, how does the new design on the FI hold up for these bikes (929/954)?

Re: Question about cages for honda 929.....

The FI is great when it comes to dropping the bike under like 10 maybe 15mph... but anything over that and the main slider thats bolts to the frame up top folds over. I had the old MXD design and it was nice, but hits your shins really badly and the top mounting bolts have a tendency to fold over but still held up pretty decent. The best results I've had so far on my 929 was the 905. I purposely dropped that bike from 12 and the other I was going for an elevator and fell off and the bike ghost rode into a curb and flipped over.... not a damn scratch!!!! I was supposed to be getting the newly designed MXD but Jeff fell thru on that one and I never got the new design. Oh well....

ya get a 905 a powers will flex right into your stator cover and never flex back. if a 905 flexes to much on one side dropit on the other it will go right back

Re: Question about cages for honda 929.....

Yea, I forgot to say that in my first post... my MXD took a little bit of a tumble, nothing big at all, and the lower hoop bent and cracked my stator cover. I wrecked my bike with the 905 on and it rolled over a curb and tumbled and it was just fine... cage took it like a champ, not even bent!

Re: Question about cages for honda 929.....

Thanks everybody for yalls feedback. My mind always been leaning on 905. Has anybody heard of scrapeworks.com? Cages look like some good stuff. Also there subframes look sick. Anybody tried them? I see they Sponsored www.teamrisk.com.
