Re: carb bike stalling @ 12

looks like your killing the brake.... its easier to 12 by pulling in the clutch and falling back on the bar, sliding for as far as you want, then hitting the brake while the clutch is still pulled in, then once your off let the clutch back out

the problem you have has nothing to do with it being carbed

Re: carb bike stalling @ 12

i don't have a hydraulic clutch, so pulling it in w/ 1 or 2 fingers is almost impossible...i atleast need 3 fingers, and then i don't have a verry good grip, but i have tried that
it seems even when i get the bike up, and hit bp to let the idle take over, it does it still... i am just getting used to the rear break, so maybe i am useing too much break.....

2 questions

Is your tank full?
Are you pulling the clutch in when you 12?

Re: carb bike stalling @ 12

Is idle really that great of a tool for learning brake control? I'm kind of in the same situation. I can smell the pads burning, so I know I am using too much brake. I always end up reverting back to engine brake and say, "Forget this stupid brake crap!" Should I just "idle this"? haha!

Re: carb bike stalling @ 12

That idle sounds awful high too, with a 61 on my F2 I run probably like 2500..

Learn to do NTH it'll help... I was raping the brake too until I started trying them.

sometimes the tank is sometimes it's not..i think it was like 1/2 full when i took the video
no i don't pull in the clutch...i don't have a hydraulic clutch so it takes atleast 3 fingers for me to pull it in, so i can't while riding a wheelie...i have tried though

how do you do a NTH (??No Throttle Hand??)

Re: carb bike stalling @ 12

so what...clutch it up, and take my throttle hand off, and let idle catch it? if so...isn't me clutching it up and trying to let idle catch it w/out giving it gas the same thing, but safer while learning?

Re: carb bike stalling @ 12

if you learn no throttle hand, you will have learned brake control... thus, you wont be stalling it like that... then after that, you can start doing coasters. but by forcing more gas, all you do if make yourself ride the brake that much more.

Re: carb bike stalling @ 12

idle about 3-3500, and yes you are prolly riding brake to much. just practice it takes some time to get used to it. keep practicing brake control until you you stop giving throttle and keep it going or very very little throttle once you learn that, then try taking your hand off the throttle. and like they all said if ur learning to 12v use the clutch when ur on the bar will last longer.. and if you are gonna try bar tricks, turn your gas off before ya do it if you have a pet****, will help prevent the carbs from flooding as quickly.

Re: carb bike stalling @ 12

i have a U style bar, so bar tricks are out of the question....im just wanting to work on my break/throttle controll, and not have to stall....right now i clutch up and DO NOT GIVE IT GAS....i catch it w/ the break, let off the break and TRY to feel the idle take over, but i ether stall, or drop the bike back down....on the video clip the bike stalls, not me breaking too hard

no one has a hydraulic clutch, and we all use 1 finger on the clutch.....that means theres prolly something wrong with your lever or cable.....lube the cable or get a new one, and make sure its bind free when routing it

You should always keep one finger on the clutch
