? on making suzuki 600 stuntbike

well i have an 04 suzuki gsxr 600. i want to put crash cage on and learn slow stuff and circles and all that. i heard for an r6 that you have to do oil line stuff so i was wondering if there was anything like that for my suzuki. and what about the sub frame, i heard they break more easily then honda or kawasaki. is there anything i have to do special before stunting like that. thanks

uh yes stuntex makes an oil pickup...... the subframes blow if you plan on having a scrape bar, and really the best bet is to throw it off a building, into a river, police station/cruiser or whatever you prefer, and get a honda.....
Not against GSXrs, just have seen wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy too many problems with them

The sub frames suck on those bikes and yam. If u loop it once its a pretty good chance the subframe is going to get broke. First thing I did was make a 12 bar for my r6 that runs from the frame to the rear tail. That way if you do loop it you will at least have more support rather than just having the subframe. Invest in an oil pickup, to save ur motor. Also a cage I have a freestyle on my r6 but from my boys that have gixxers say that freestyle sux, i have heard good things about powers cage but the are so ridged that u run the risk of messing up the frame. These are just my opinions others u might talk to have different ideas. But i have been able to keep from breaking alot on my bike.

Re: ? on making suzuki 600 stuntbike

yes, like i said, invest in the stuntex oil pick up for sure, and try to stay away from high rpm wheelies..... get a cage, pick whatever brand you feel like, they all will get the job done, and find someone to TIG weld bracing plates on the sides of the subframe, mainly where it connects to the frame... those tabs are notorious for breaking off........

Re: ? on making suzuki 600 stuntbike

have an 03 600 and thats fine for stunting. the only probs is the tabs wich is and easy fix and the oil pick ups. the oil pick ups sit at the front on the gixers so invest in one of them. as far as the tabs on ur frame go. get urself bout 3mm thick, 25mm wide alloy straps that go from ur rear sets to the pillion peg. this will definatly stop those tabs braking off any time soon. hope this helps

Mr Ryan Smith on this site sells them I believe. I just put one on and it's way better. if it's an 04 or 05 600 you have to have the whole subframe filled in, there's two big triangle sections that should be filled in with a reinforcing backer and I have a big *** one going through between the pass peg mounts for less bending.

those are the pics of my subframe. I have to get the other hole filled in and it should be ok. you can also search ebay for stuntex and there are suppliers there for the oil pickup.

Re: ? on making suzuki 600 stuntbike

For the subframe problem what about the scrapeworx subframes? those biatchez look stong as hell. I havent heard of Powers breaking motor mounts only FI doing that...and even then its not a massive amount of ppl saying its happened.

Re: ? on making suzuki 600 stuntbike

last time i went to the site they didn't make a sunframe for the 04-06 bikes. I scraped my bar quite a few times today, two or three gorilla scrapes and the setup I have worked fine with no problems ilke cracking or anything like that.
