F4i Cages: Powers vs. MXD

Alright buyin a cage for my F4i and pretty much have decided no FI (not gonna risk breaking a motor mount) and nothing against 905 but I think im gonna try out either powers or MXD and right now Im leaning towards MXD, anyone wanna throw in their to help me make my decision final?

U wont break a motor mount on an F4i. . Not unless ur riding ur bike off cliffs or something suppper suuper crazy. F4i is a tank. You dont have to worry about breaking motor mounts. 905 is a good cage. It's why u bought a honda not a Suduki

Re: F4i Cages: Powers vs. MXD

I have a Powers cage and the thing is f*ckin solid as hell. Ive had some real hard hits on it, including pancaking it from a highsided circle, the thing hit so hard it bounced a foot off the ground and the cage didnt budge.

Re: F4i Cages: Powers vs. MXD

Ive never heard anything bad about MXD and actually ive talked to the guy thru PMs and he really knos his shiz, but same goes for powers and the powers cage looks like it would protect a little better. Any shin bashing problems on the powers cage?

Re: F4i Cages: Powers vs. MXD

go with an MXD!!! rock solid and no roll over problems like the 905's

and like everyone else said you wont brake a motor mount on an F4i. the reason why motor mounts brake on other bikes is becuase the mounts protrude from the frame making it weaker to begin with.

Re: F4i Cages: Powers vs. MXD

I just got the mxd and it seems solid as hell. Install was easy everything fit right up.

And FYI i had broken both front motor mounts on my f4i with my old cage... i'm just that hardcore.

Re: F4i Cages: Powers vs. MXD

I've used and abused 3 different style MXD cages now, everyone of them held up better than any other cage I've ever used, all 3 are still functional and can be unbolted/bolted back on still !!!! No cutting required! LOL

I dont know what MXD used in the past, but I believe they use the same thickness tubing that we use which is a 120' wall. That is the thickest tubing available in an electric weld tube.

So you're saying i should go with ur cage...
Hmmmmm... I really liked the fact my shins will stop bruising. My bike's lowered 2 inches...i can't go FI or powers without bottoming out and my legs are short... tell me more- I've gone to the page, but i wanna be convinced ur cage will hold up.
