how to replace fork seals on 929rr

???? does it make any difference that the forks are inverted? went to shops and average price was upwards of 275! dont wanna pay that much...

yeah it sucks! lookin @ 2 hrs of labor on each forktube plus parts.

its not to hard to do ur self.. u just need to pick up some pvc and make a fork seal setter tool

If your not familiar with forks, save the time and trouble, and have a shop do them up cherry.

thats the way to go, take them off yourself, get oem seals, and have a tech put them in. Oh yeah, the 180 piece craftsman tool set isnt gonna have all the stuff you need to do them. lol

autozone rents out tools for free, u just give them money to hold onto case u don't bring **** back.

I tried mine on my 954 and i ran into two problems.....the wrenches I had would not stack close enought together to get the dampener rod and lock nut appart on the top of the fork (wanted to strip) and a regular length allen socket isn't long enought to go up through the hole at the axel (bottom of the fork) to get that bolt out..........

I just brought the forks down to the shop and had them done for $70.00 plus the cost of fork seals.
