Newbie on Buell XB9S

So Im a newbie, obviously, and I was just wondering the best way for me to learn a good solid wheelie. If you know much about the XB9S then you know its a short bike and can feel sorta weird for pulling wheelies, I guess?! Any advice would be great!

go to the top of the threads and you will see a basic wheelie guide, follow that.

Re: Newbie on Buell XB9S

I used to have an 03 XB9R -same bike as the s in almost all respects.. the key is to pull it up at a much lower RPM than a jap bike... and it has the torque to do it..so take advantage of that... otherwise just keep practicing and cover that brake...and it feels like any other bike in a wheelie, at least it did to me..

Re: Newbie on Buell XB9S

1st gear get the rpm's up ocome off throttle get nback on the throttle with a little tug and it will come right up....the problem in first is you run out of gear real quick.

get 1st gear to redline shift to 2nd fast and give a little tug...

2nd gear...get the bike around 40mph pull in the clutch and rev the rpm to around 5.5 to 6 dump clutch and give it a little tug...it will come right up...

3rd and 4th gear are the same but I can only do it standing.

AND REMEMBER TO COVER THE BRAKE!!!!
