954 Freestyle Int. 12 Oclock bar Install questions
I have a Freestyle Int. 12 bar that needs to be bolted to my subframe (954RR) through 4 holes I have to drill. Here are my two questions:
1. When I go to mount the bar I am unsure of how far back or forward on the subframe to mount it. Also, the screw on each side that holds that little mounting tab for the tail plastic also seems to be in the way if I go to far back. I guess I want to know if I am off by a 1/2 inch or so will it be a big deal????
2. How in the world do you figure out where you have to cut the tail plastic to fit around the bar without making it look a mess or screwing it up? Also, what do you use to cut the plastic so its a smooth cut?

check it out....dont cut the tail....you'll thank me later....just run no tail.... As for mounting, have it be at 12.....measureable with a 2x4 held against the back tire....and where the bar contacts the 2x4

Alright the 12 bar is on and looking good....BUT I am going to have to cut the tail.
I need to be able to put my taillight back on b/c the bike isn't 100% stunt. The tail is already f'd-up by me looping a few weeks back. I ziptided and epoxyed the crack so it is what it is.......
Anyway what did you all use to cut the tail? I can use a air cut off wheel but I know the heat of the wheel will melt the plastic tail.......any other suggestions???
