i was out playing and wail doing a weelie my bike just started to smoke really really bad so i figered i droped a valve or broke a piston ring so i shut the bike off and took the motor apart and i cant see any dammage anywhere..........

does anyone have any idea what it could be?

Check the air box for signs of oil.

air box had alot of oil in it

There you go. Clean it all out and you should be straight. It will smoke a LOT for a little bit, but it will burn off. My friend thought he hydrolocked his 2005 R6. He had the same symptoms. You running a full quart over? Might want to only use 1/2 a quart over.

man thats what i thinking after taking the motor apart and seeing nothing wrong... well it was eather that or valve seals

Guess it's common with Yamaha's. I hear a PCV vent can help the problem, but don't know specifics. I ride Honda's, but my friends........

Forgot to tell you. When you are letting the bike burn off all the oil, don't do it in your garage or on your driveway. Lots of oil sprays out the exhaust.

u took ur valve cover off, or u completely disassembled the engine?

took the head off and was able to get the pistons out by just removing the base pan..
so i only need two gaskets........
happend infront of about 150 people and no one knew they did that... eather way it sucks right now i am trying to figer out what way the piston rod berings go in... they have oil notches in them i think there susposed to be on opposite sides from one and other but i am not shure so i am looking it up....

anyone know off hand?
