wtf is a ect sensor?

my 929 is blinking 3 time sconstant, then 4 times fast, so that's 7 blinks, which says it's a bad ect sensor.. wtf is that?

It always thinks the bike is overheating so it wont let it start. i bet theres some resistor you could jump it with to make it run ok

Bwahahahahaha. Dude it shouldn't matter for making it run. I mean bikes don't shut off or not run from overheating as a precaution, they stop cause their **** blows up eventually. But the computer won't shut it off cause its hot. I think u got something else wrong, you sure you got the blinks right for the ect?

the bike wont shut itself off if its hot so its something else...whats it do when you go to start..does it crank or what ?
