Re: wtf is a ect sensor?

compression is real good... with a little valve overlap you feel air firing out of the throttle bodies through each cylinder... somethin is preventing it from gettin gall the fuel i think... hmm, i disconnected the airbox sensor, and it blinked9 times, then reconeccted it, then it went back to 7 blinks for the ect... anyone want this bike for free?

I can afford free.... , .... did you do any top end adjustments? at overlap the exhaust needs to be timed corectly on these later model motors. I wouldnt add or subtract any degree on a stock cam lobe setup for this particular bike. Second, you dont want to add or subtract overlap you want to move it, meaning what ever you do to the exhaust you might want to do to the intake. Third, did you set up the timing on the flywheel corectly, theres 2 TDC marks and one IG timing mark, TDCC (where you set up the valves) is right after the IG timing mark. Sorry if ya know all this already just

Re: wtf is a ect sensor?

k well frame is back off of it.. on the flywheel timing marks, there is a T|.:|f and my problem was i put it right in the middle of all those,, not knowing i had to put it directly above the T, my manual is pdf form and u couldn't see. so i just did that, i swear the timing marks are all lined perfect.. wish i had a cam to take a pic... about to torque it all down, n hopefully put the frame back on tonight, wish me luck

Re: wtf is a ect sensor?

no, I would use an easy out(u can get a chep set at harbor friet for like 5-10 bucks should be enough to get that little buger out),and replace it. you dont want the other bolt breaking while running.... that would be bad....
