hey all never happened to me just started yesterday, when i rev my engine up ti around 10K + im thinking more twoards the 14-15k redline area not that i do it alot, but im gettign a popping outta my pipe with flames and black smoke?? any ideas what it could be?? carbon build up in can? to much gas? bad carbs? bad jetting? any suggestions? thanks.

does it do it when you're W.O.T. or when you're letting off. if it does it when you let off you are running rich if it does it wide open then you are running lean and thats really bad. what year/make/model bike is it? carb. or fi? post or pm back and i'll give some more troubleshooting advice

It's raw fuel getting igniting in the tail pipe. It's always happened, you just started noticing it now.

Mine does it at night time , but ive seen tons of bikes do it at night when you run to red line and let off , my doesnt smoke but a lil blue flame will pop out for a split second when its engine braking from redline,during day light it doesnt do **** though.

my old gsxr used to shoot huge flames when it hit and got near the rev limiter it was just running real rich, black smoke too.

My bro had a Blue Flame exhaust on his GSXR1000. We thought that was a part of the effect. It was an added bonus of the exhaust. Custom! haha! Anyway, he got his bike dyno tuned and it helped a lot. It still does it but not nearly as bad as it did.

yea well its a 2000 ninja 600 carb full muzzy carbon, jetted.. i use 92-94 octane gas, and i think its doing it when im gooseing it.. but ill check later its about to rain now dont wanna fire her up in garage went for a ride today didnt do it at all till i got home and was revving her up... its weird.... no blue flame a bright orange one and only if i gun it hardd hardd willit smoke besides that it just pops . and spits flame
