2 syptoms... either you and your buddy are fat asses, or your engine has seriously blow by in the pistons. There is a 1/100,000 chance your bike got a $hit motor and they didn't properly seat the rings and you have blow by, b/c nothing else you've said would indicate firing on 3 cylinders and such. PS... lose some weight!

Re: 02 gsxr 1000 **** FOR POWER-SLOOOWWWW

try removing you tre and see what happens. You'll know if you're getting bad blow by, the bike will smoke and eat oil depending on how bad it is. Try going through and checking to make sure all your cylinders are getting spark, see if you can smell raw fuel in the exhaust, check all your electrical connections....

alright-i know its the bike-everyone that rode it, regardless of skill got beat, both by the 750 and the r1. the race was a roll on, where the g1k should definately dominate.

Re: 02 gsxr 1000 **** FOR POWER-SLOOOWWWW

I will say the 750s are quick man... I can keep up with an R1 side by side from a dead stop untill about 110mph. Ive been smoked by a R6 before thats because I was donkey ****ing with the shifting.... find a place that 1/4 mile long and keep running it. Thats what I did that and dumped money on extras.

Good Luck

my friends pops had a i think a 92 gix 750 with a newer tail on it.. the motor he had it bored hella internal work so instead of 750 it was like 800 somethin i dont really rmbr the specific specs of the bike but we seen him mash it one time and holy *** that thing moooooovd and i liked how he had his shifting instead of 1 down 5 up.. he had his 1 up 5 down

Re: 02 gsxr 1000 **** FOR POWER-SLOOOWWWW

lol-thanks for the suggestions, but regardless of how quick a 750 is, from a 50mph rollon, the 1k should eat it-huge power difference. When the 1k was given to someone else, it still lost, to a bone stock stunted out 750. Tell me, are stock 750s quick enough to beat a 1000 that at one point in its life dynoed 169.7 hp with extensive mods? NO-Id accept that i was a poor rider, but its the bike, as proved by other people also losing on it-ITS ****ING SLOW

Re: 02 gsxr 1000 **** FOR POWER-SLOOOWWWW

lol... I love that I sold my 03 636 it was a pos right... this small kid in a wife beater knocks on my door and asks if it was for sale I said ya... So we start looking at it, I asked him if he had ever riden before he said ya I ride my friends hug-i-busa... LOL so I was like want to take it for a spin I will jump on my 750 and ride with ya. He said I dont have a helmet so I found one for him. We start going and I see he is try to shift down from 1st gear he was trying to press the shifter down. I told him to get under it and shift up... He said well is different on my friends bike... LMAO so a long story shorter we take off and I was taking it easy I started going and was cruising around 50mph I look back the kid is like 8 blocks back so we finish up the ride take it back to the house and he said man that thing is so fast. I was like so do you want to buy it kid handed me 3800 I gave him the title and never heard of or seen that bike since!

Hug-i-busa LMAO

Re: 02 gsxr 1000 **** FOR POWER-SLOOOWWWW

maybe the dude was in a lower gear than you were. If it was at a 50mph roll, i would have been in 1st gear on that 1000. i used to have a '02 gsxr 1000 and my stock 1st would get to 93mph at redline. But since you are -2, +2 i think you could have still been in 1st with no problem. What gear were you in when the race started?

Re: 02 gsxr 1000 **** FOR POWER-SLOOOWWWW

it's your clutch i think, when the clutch starts to slip it's harder to tell than in a car, and unless you've owned the bike a while you won't notice a speed difference just hopping on.

in the case of a car, you've got all that weight, so you can actually tell that the motor is revving more than it should for how much you're moving. on a bike however, it is light enough that even if your clutch is slipping, you get pushed forward somewhat quickly, even though your clutch may be slipping.

You almost had him? You never had him. You never had your bike. You were probably granny shifting instead of double clutching like you should. And your lucky the 100 shot of nitrous didn't blow the welds on the intake manifold. Go get the mad scientist and have him help you rip apart the engine block and replace the piston rings that you fried. You almost had me.
