f4i frontend swap to 929

i bought 929 forks and tripple tree assembly, i was wondering if i need a 929 rim, or if i could run my f4i rim, also, im assumeing i need the axel... but im curious if i need the roters, rim, calibers...
if anyone has done this, or has any info on what else needs to be done, please let me know...
thanks

Re: f4i frontend swap to 929

you need a 929 rim, caliper, rotors, lines mounting hardware, all of the above homie, u didn't think it'd be that easy did u? but the good news is you can sell your f4i rim for a good price, bad news is the 929 rim will cost more!

Re: f4i frontend swap to 929

i hear you on that, but with money being an issue, and stunting being what i do for fun.. i would like to get the show rolling,
i have 929 calibers on my 900rr... and i am willing and able to tear her down and put it all on my f4i, i just got the forks and tripple tree, so im thinking all i need now is the axel and stuff...
i have the calibers and what not, i beleave the roters swap as well, 900rr and 929, would you know if the axel would be loot, or if its cheep new?
the rim i cant afford, ane being that im liveing in cali now, no longer ny, i can ride through the whinter...
so i really dont want to just sit on the parts i just bought you know...
any help you can give me would be gratly appricated..
thanks

Re: f4i frontend swap to 929

yup check out meddling kid hes got all the info,

infact im about to hit him up cuz im finished wit my 954 conversion.

954 clipons
954 upper+lower triple
954 forks
954 rotors
f4i axle with milled "clamp bushing"
dont forget the front fender

ditch ur upper fairing at least cuz u wont turn with the fairing on

put the bars ontop of the upper tripple and lower the front and go slow or wheelie over speebumps and NO FAT *****es itll scrape pipe. but it makes sparks and sounds cool!

meddling said he needed a washer for the neck tube but i seem to have it just fine, maybe after more ridding i can tell

its really easy i did mine with an acerbis headlight for 525. kinda pricey but u just gotta look for deals. and ebay the **** outa it

ill have pics soons. goodluck

the 954 has low clipons they hit ur fairings if u have them on an f4i, plus ur dippin low. its like db bars but free!

Re: f4i frontend swap to 929

right on, so ill need a 929 front fender, didnt even think of that...
and the rim? ill need a 929 rim forsure? or will the 900rr rim work for now?
also, is the 900rr axel the same as the 929? i plan on keeping the plastics on, and modafieing them, and i plan on rideing with the clipons above the tripple as well, so with this setup ill have to change my stay huh... does anyone know if the 905 one would be cool, or would i need to customize it? also i plan on keeping my gauges, does the 905 stay cater to that, or would i need to go custom? this is my everyday rider as well as my stunt bike for now so, trying to blend in with the streets and at the same time make stunting as comfertable as possable...
any other tricks of the trade would be kick ***, thanks agen...
