Re: f4i frontend swap to 929

has anyone tried to fab up a 929 upper stay with upper to the f4i sides? Just a thought as to eliminating the clutch hitting the stay. BTW, I just converted to a 929 front end and it made the f4i completely different....in a good way!!!!!

not to hate or anything but your set up isnt very good. How can u do highchairs with those cables all in the way. And theres no way your gonna pul your leg through from spreaders to 50/50 or 50/50 to highchair without getting tanlged in that and crashing. Not too sure what kinda stunts your doing now but eventually your gonna wan to route those cables a different way And with that 905 cage and the way the f4i likes to tip upto the controls, those cables will be distroyed in no time. They are better under the resivor. That resivor is strong and would be better off taking some hits instead of the cables

whats the best way to run the cables?
can people post pics?
and yeah, inverted forks, breaking, stiffness, and the clips on top are all perks to this setup... not just the risers on the clipons... correcting previous statment...

ok, these are the best pics i have to explain. id take new ones but my bike is blocked in , in the garage while im injured. So heres my best explanation for cable routing.

THROTTLE CABLES: go in front of the brake resivor and the should run in towards the tank just before the brake lines come down and into the slot that goes under the tank.
I would reccomend getting a 954 on/off switch and throttle cables. They run downwards and under the clipon so if the bike rolls onto the nose the cables will not get damaged and ur throttle will still work properly

CLUTCH CABLE: Run the clutch cable on the inside of the forks and just over the fairing stay. route it along the frame bringing it on the inside part of the right for too. Maybe the pictures will help and u can get somekinda idea. if not let me know and i'll try to get new pics later
