F4i...throttle hesitation????

I've just noticed this during slow stuff...
Say I'm doing a no throttle hand or something and maybe it'll come back down too far, so I try to put my hand back on the throttle to give it gas...but nothing..it just hesitates then I have to set it down.

Or if I bring it back real high, then I try to throttle it out so I won't slam the front end down, it will hesitate too.

Any ideas of why it does this? Anybody else with an F4i have this problem?

i think most f4i's do this unless they are super geared.......

throttle hesitation has caused me to eat **** a couple times.....

Re: F4i...throttle hesitation????

Powercommander anyone?? That may fix your issues with the bogging, have it Dyno tuned with a custom map for best results.

Re: F4i...throttle hesitation????

mine runs smooth as hell.... powercommander actually works.... but what REALLY helped me was getting an o2 sensor from a cali model.

Re: F4i...throttle hesitation????

Most of em do that, not really sure why. I have noticed that if you take the little ram air hose thingies off the airbox that it does it alot worse. Maybe because its sucking hot air straight off the top of the engine? If I drop the front and dont want to set it down I just slip the clutch, gas it a little and dump the clutch again. If I accidentally hit the gas too much when I drop the clutch I just pull the clutch right back in and catch it with the brake, stabilize it and let the clutch back out smoothly. Pops right back up and you dont pick all that speed like you do if you try to roll hard on the gas. Clutch control is just as important as brake and throttle control. You can do lots of cool things with the clutch.
