Re: stock f4i idle or 900 cable?
if you are gonna put it in the stock location, put the stock one in.
if you want to run screw in the stock location, and run a cable in the throttle body place, get the 900 cable

**** im pissed i want to ride and this ****er broke..theres that little screw there that you take out to put in the 900 cable im gonna try screwing it out to open the throttle to bump up the idle so i can practice this weekend..if that screw aint enough im gonna super glue something on it so it'll open it enough

i did the screw thing where my idle would be stuck high thats fine with me but it seems to start up idle a little ruff..idle a few seconds then jump up high in the revs...should i even both those little screws or what?

Get 2 F4I idle cables and put one in where it is supposed to be stock and one where the top of your throttle bodies are. Ohh and quit your *****in and bellyachin. LOL

if you put that screw in and barely move the fuel flapper at all, then like rtv the screw in place, your idle will be at 1500..... then get the 900rr cable for the throttle bodies.....justins a fool

Re: stock f4i idle or 900 cable?
the only reasons anyone ever used 900rr or different (longer) idle cables is because the gsxrs didnt have them and the 929 954 cables were stupidly short and unreachable
justin is right.. leave the stock cable in place and get whatever other one you can and put it up at the top.. it does not have to be a 900rr, and f4i one is quite long enough

Re: stock f4i idle or 900 cable?
LISTEN EVERYONE I DONT HAVE A CABLE i dont have a 900rr cable and my STOCK cable broke....so what im DOING is using that little screw to bump up my idle so i can practice til i get one...i dont see any problem doing this since its the same way the 900rr rasies the idle..this way its just not adjustable..

Re: stock f4i idle or 900 cable?
ok i get what you are saying, the screws by the throttle bodies need to be screwed out more.. problem solved.. with 600rr and 929 n 954 the cables suck, r too short, and idle jumps.. that's why 900rr is used, just because it is longer.. figure it out smarty pants, inbetween the throttle bodies under the airbox, u'll know what i mean

I know what your sayin, buy Im just sayin what your sayin and then everybody else is sayin. Damnit I just forgot what I was sayin.
PS What I am really sayin though is as soon as you get a chance, go order two F4I or 900rr cables and put one back in to your stock idle adjustment and the other on the top of the throttle bodies to be able to adjust it better. When you put that set screw in, you probably screwed it in too far and thats why it is running at 3000 rpm, but it should be alright for a day or two, until you get the stock ones back in there.
Peace Justin
