flame thrower

I put an aftermarket exhaust on my zx79 now it blows flames (backfires) , do i need to lean it out with a rejetting kit? and which jets do i re place the pilot jets or all ?it didnt back fire till i cut the exhaust shorter for stunting it? baffle and all packing are still in the pipe just shortend it ? Anyone? thank you John

All I know is that manufacturer's suggest you rejet when you mount up an aftermarket pipe.....however, I dont know carburation stuff for ****. sorry

if you pipe a bike and dont rejet it you will lose power instead of gaining it

call up your pipe's manufacturer and see if they offer a jet kit or have suggestions as to what tuning needs to be done.

or ride it as is-Fire rules!
