00 Gsxr 750 problems.. Need Help
I havent checked into it yet, but my girls 750 is makin an aweful noise from what sounds like the fuel pump. Its like a really loud clicking noise when you first turn the key on. Thats the only time it makes the noise We just changed the fuel pump so...?? Any ideas? Any help would be great.

check out the STVA cables. The 00 and 01 have the oldschool style throttlebodies and use cables that run from the secondary throttle valve actuator to the secondary throttle valve. It's super common for the 00 model to fray the ends of the cables which cause it to go out of adjustment and can do everything from making that nasty clicking sound to making the bike run like crap. The are located under the tank on the right side of the throttlebodies. The cables on the 01 were revised with plastic tips on the cables. New cables are only like 10 bucks if that is what your problem is.

Well, thats pretty much exactly it. I jumped the plug in the back and got a fault code a few months ago that said something about thwe secondary throttle valve actuator. I saw the cables were freyed so i changed them. The FI light never went off.. Now, about 3 months later (the bike still running like ****) strted makin that crazy clicking noise. I pulled the tank off yesterday. Its definately the actuator clicking. It seems as if it tries to keep winding the cables up much further than it is suppose to. I assume the actuator is bad?? Could someone verify that the actuator is bad, or could it be some other underlying problem causing it to do this? Any help would be great. Thanks..

That is exactly what is clicking. Whenever it clicks its plastic gears inside the actuator slipping. When you replaced the STV cables did you adjust them properly as per the manual specs? If not, get a manual and readjust them.
It's very possible that the gears in the STVA are toast. Try adjusting them again to the specs in the manual. If it still clicks, replace the STVA, adjust the cables to the manual specs and it will run fine.
If you dont have a manual, ask around and somebody might have it in pdf format. I had it but deleted it after I got rid of that ****ing gixxer I had. If you cant find it, you can get it off ebay in pdf format on a cdrom for 5 bucks or so.

Good luck with that. It'll never stop, I don't care what you do. Just rock it till it explodes. Everyone of my gixxers do it (except the 600, knock on wood). 750's suck when it comes to stuff like that. It is the Servo Motor on the injectors though, no doubt. Those little cables never get adjusted right.
By the way my 02 clicks now too, lol
