Re: Needs help on set-up of 929 forks on F4i with keeping my stock fairings
If you guys are looking to buy a GPR get it for an f4i. I was told it will fit right up on the 929/954 front end. For the bearings u will have to stay with he f4i bearings, top and bottom. This info was passed on to me from teamclc Thanks all I think everyone’s questions should have been answered but if anyone has got some more question post them up. Sh@t by the time we get through with this thread everyone will know what and what not to do for swapping over your F4i to 929/954 forks that’s awesome. :YEAH :YEAH :YEAH

Hey guys,
Will the stock F4i ignition fit into the 929/954 top tree?

I just rock no ram air tubes, but I think I am putting mine back on soon....for some reason my stem stuff always comes loose.....oh yeah, i didnt have to cut my upper, but if you turn the bars full lock to the right, if the clutch lever is a the the right angle, if pulls the lever in......sweet...

I had to trim my upper a little on either side to make room for the bars, and I had to cut the air duct covers where they bend up to meet the upper fairing (the area that covers the resonance chambers). I made my own upper faining stay that bolts to the stock lower stay, because my bars kept hitting the stock one....no amount of notching was gonna cure that, mostly because I have a handbrake, and also because I run my bars almost straight out as opposed to angled back in the stock position. Because of my bar position, I also had to re-locate my gauges. I like to have them, so Hinks came up with a way to put them into the back of my headlight, which worked out pretty well. Its not too bad to do the conversion, it just gets irritating when everything hits. My bars still hit the upper at full lock, but if you don't run them out as far, you probably won't have much of a problem.
