Stock gear on r6

Re: Stock gear on r6
unsure what the gearing is. depends on what your using the bike for, and personal preference. if it is just for stunting, a 60-65 tooth rear should be good. if it is for stunting and riding around, a 50-55 should be good. you can also cahnge the front, only one, i heard if you go more than that it wears on chains.

Stock gearing on an R6 is 16/48. If you want to slow your wheelies down, all you have to do is learn to use your rear brake. Getting sprockets wont help you slow down, all it will do is make all your gears shorter and the throttle 10 times more touchy. It will be like learning to ride a wheelie again. I dropped 1 tooth and added 2 to the rear and that did just fine. Big pizza sprockets are useless till you find balance point and know the rear brake. Good luck

Re: Stock gear on r6
yeah I am working on getting the stock one to slow down right now but I wanted to know if a aftermarket sprocket would help at all. I think I am gonna stick with the stock one for now and see how good I can get with it then get something for next year.
