i think mines going bad..i hear a slight noise in the motor such as from idle opening the throttle quickly i hear a slap sound..and a vibration up in the higher revs..is this my cam chain? what should i do and how quickly should i do it?

replace with a manual cam chain tensioner, mine just started doing the same thing

this sound PISSES ME OFF,im sitting hear at a light revving my bike like f *** f *** f ***!!! this thing is really getting on my nerves,like wanting to plow into the rear of a car so i can total my f4i out and get a new one that DOESNT MAKE PIECE OF **** NOISES LIKE THIS ONE DOES.OH AND F4Is SUCK! when you have the ram air tubes off it makes a ****ing loud *** sucking sound when i give it gas that along with the RETARDED loose cam chain makes me want to go into a murderous rampage

lol, go to www.cbrzone.com I think its on there for around $60. I replaced the cct in my f2 1.5 years ago with an APE manual one and its still running quiet. It comes with instructions, and is pretty damn straightforward. Check www.cbrworld.net forums for info...They have a few posts on it.

doodle, i put this up 2 days before your post. catch42 helped me, he had the same description and that's what it was. runs like a champ now. as far as easy, yes fairly if you can get the tank/airbox/throttle body off. the parts is just in a tight place. good luck check out the thread w/ pics.

yeah, i didnt buy the gasket, just rtv it.... Its not hard, just a pain where it is located, we were gonna just drop my motor out the bottom of the frame a bit to do mine, but some retarded motor mount gets in the way.
