900 RR Flooding out in slow wheelies

Ive got a total piece of crap 1995 900rr. When riding a slow 1st gear - i'd say 11 oclock wheelie - after a little bit it will load up & spudder. I know its not fuel injected - but I've seen guys on 900's ride WAY further @ the same height if not higher.

any tips on where to set the carbs? For all i know the carb could be dirty - it sat for a while. Its got a pipe on it so some yahoo could have jetted it w/ out a clue on how to do it.

any suggestions?

My buddy Johnny from DTE had the same problem take the carbs completely apart and clean them, also make sure you are running stock jets. Also make sure that the needles are good, the needles are most likely bad being that it is a 95. Good luck

i took the fuel sock out and put a glass inline filter between the carbs and the pitcock. my piece did the same thing, but now it stalls in circles???? i think some 99' carbs are in question.

Try raising the float level about 1 to 1.5 mm.
