Question about certain stunts....

I have yet to really get into a lot of stunting, but I have one question....

When you see guys rockin long azz Spreaders, height chairs, seat standers, are they just controling th bike with 100% throttle most of the time, or do you need a hand brake set up??????

Re: Question about certain stunts....

Thanks for the info....thats what I was thinking.

I just need a little more throttle control before I attempt those tricks. So far I was doing pretty good riding 2ng gear stand ups until I looped my bike a couple of months ago. Got to high and didn't get of the thottle in time, or hit my brake for that matter.....oh well shiit happens

Re: Question about certain stunts....

you can do it with throttle but why not be SAFE while learning and have a HANDBRAKE JUUUUUST in case you go a BIT too far?!?!?! learn BP wheelies and Throttle control first, then get HB, then work on long spreaders, SS, etc!

My name is John, I have a HB, and im proud to admit it! LOL

anymore, NUTHING is cheating, if it helps you stunt, do it... I will say that bikes with no front fairing LOOK like ****, but they do allow more/easier movement up front!

I'm thinkin the PERFECT set-up is DB bars but still having a front fairing, just cut it down to allow the bars to move... Best of both worlds

Re: Question about certain stunts....

I don't have a hand brake yet... but I can still rock fast or slow spreaders, the key is to learn your engine brake. Be careful if you do hi-chairs or tall spreaders b/c if you have your idle WWWAAAYYYY up, you'll roll right over yourself. If your idle is lower (around 1500-1800) you can let the engine pull you right back down. I have a -1, 6+ sprocket setup on my bike and I can use engine brake all day long on really tall spreaders. But a hand brake would be a great investment if you are learning all these types of stunts. Just my 2 cents

Re: Question about certain stunts....

i have a handbrake but have yet to really use it, only ridden 4 times this year, but scrape ss and spreaders with just the clutch..real low idle like 800..i bought the hb for highchair scrapes (too wussy to do it with clutch) and learning circle combos (if i ever get to practice)

Re: Question about certain stunts....

hey it was just my , a cage is to help from damage not to help you stunt, a stock bike has everything you need to stunt, to many stunters ride bikes that dont even look like bikes anymore with dirtbike handle bars and ****, just ride the f-----g bike. and i dont think football players wear boots

personaly i think a real stunter can stunt any bike he gets is hands on but why not use a hand brake if it makes life easier. do you still get up to change the t.v channel? do you still take the stairs to the top floor? do you still wash clothes with your hands ond a brush? I don't think so

It's called technology bro, use it

Re: Question about certain stunts....

no wonder stunters hate stunters, i only been riding for 3 months and i really havent met to many riders that get along. All the stunters have to think that they are more badass then the next. I rode dirt for alot of years before switching to the streets and i was sponsored by alot of big companies such as vortex. All i was doing was giving my opinion and i get bombarded with people being smartass or what not. To bad all you guys have to be ********
