Cool So do you guys think this will hold up?

I thought I'd ask here since this is my 1st attempt at making a bar and I have no access to a welder. The sliders are skateboard wheels as well :p
(I have scraped the tail before on da heavy bike, just never with a bar)
Made from solid industrial steel... the bar itself is probably 10 pounds or something... I might add a few more mounts while it's still raining for the next week or so. It took some effort to bend that damn bar!
don't bother pointing out the brand conflict of my stickers, I don't care

oh ya, here's my last attempt at 12. The one before worked out great, but my buddy didn't take the pic. He got this one though
(this is with no wheelie bar by the way)

THE BAR LOOKS STURDY BUT THE ANGLE OF THE PART THAT ACTUALLY HITS THE GROUND LOOKS LIKE THAT MIGHT BE THROWING YOU. TRY THIS TO GET THE ANGLE......HOLD YOUR BIKE STRAIGHT UP ON BOTH WHEELS OFF THE KICK STAND AND HOLD A 2X4 AGAINST YOUR TIRE AND THE BAR....THAT SHOULD GIVE YOU A PRETTY CLOSE ANGLE OF IMPACT!

I did that with a piece of plywood when I mounted it... I'm pretty sure it'll do the job

The bar sits perfectly flat on the ground so that's nothing to worry about. I am conserned about the round corners too though so I think I'll truck the bike to a welder and ask him to weld on a flat bar to the bar I already have... that should make it even better...
-
and as for joining loose riders... nope. I'm not a member of any stunt group/team and have no desire to be unless it's just for fun. I just do it for fun for myself
I mainly ride my other bike (99 gixxer 750) and hit twisties and do freeway standups and other easy s***... but as my lisence has been suspended (one more month to go) I started stunt riding on the CBR that I built from scrapyard parts with a friend, so it has no title or anything. It's a miracle that the bike runs so well. Stunt riding has been getting addicting so I'll keep with it when I get my lisence back since I'd love to learn 360 wheelies.
-
here's my other bike:
(don't get the wrong idea. I have only 2 bikes. My friends leave their bikes in my garage for the winter to work on them so at times I can have up to 6 bikes in there... so any other bike you see in my pics isn't mine unfortunatly...)

Hey I know you from gixxer.com . I am getting ready to fab up a bar for my gixxer. The one thing everyone told me is to add a brace to the point where the subframe meets the frame. I have seen guys run steel from the bar to the frame. The factory welds plus the aluminum wont take much abuse . GOOD LUCK MAN .

Later , mike

That's where having an F2 comes in handy... the whole frame and subframe are steel, and one piece, so it's plenty strong... but on the downside, heavy!
