F4i Radiator Fan Manual Turn On Switch

Re: F4i Radiator Fan Manual Turn On Switch
Fan get plus (+12) from ignition switch, when things got too hot, the fan switch(located in the radiator) connects the fan Ground to - (frame).
You basicly need to connect the new switch besides the fan switch, So when you switch this new switch on, it provides ground for the Fan, even before the fan actual switch connects. By connecting it paraller to original switch the normal functionality still works if you forget to switch it on.
Fan switch is at the left side at the radiator, wire is going in to it. Open the wire shield with knife, solder wire to that, and connect it to frame through your new switch.
Haven't done it to F4i, so there can be some differencies.

the thermo closes its internal switch when calibrated temp is reached, by closing a new switch before it you can manually ground the fan thru the switch, but when the switch is open the fan still rely's on the thermostat. obvouisly run long wires on the new switch so you can mount it where you want. hope that helps. i'd run a 10 amp switch too. if you know what your doing you can also slip the wires into the connector so you don't have to cut the harness.
