Dual caliper set for f4i? anyone have/make one?
im looking to get a hb together for my f4i.
i know 905 makes a dual caliper for a gxsr, but not for a f4i.
i looked around and found one guy sayin they were making them, but never heard back from him (its been 2 months)
is anyone running a dual caliper setup on a f4i?
did you buy the bracket or did you take it to someone and have them weld 2 of them together?
anyone know who makes one?
any help on this would be great
thanks in advance.

I don't know anyone making them, but i run the dual caliper set up on my 929. Just find a good welder, bracket, rear caliper, custom length brake line and your golden.

You'll need about 80" line. You can get them for about $35 at www.bonacoinc.com The bracket you'll just have to have fabbed up.

Not to bust your bubble but you are going to have to figure out how to get the brake lever rotated up higher. You'll never be able to reach it there.

the price we are looking at is about 200 dollars on the low side. The price is because of the size of the bracket due to the integrated stay. The size of the blank and time involved in machining bracket dont help the price at all either. We do accept credit and paypal.

****. hit almost any welder up with a case of beer and he'll get it done for you. Just go bs with em for an hour or two. Almost all those guys are into anything motor related, specially something where "danger" is involved. The welder guys here love it when we come in and bullsh!t....

Re: Dual caliper set for f4i? anyone have/make one?
Yeah guys I think we are going to have to ghetto rig two stock rear brackets to get the job done that’s going to be the cheapest was to go. I am in Iraq now but when I get back I already have two brackets so I'll go cut them up and have my friend weld it but here is what I can do for everyone. I will be sure to get them cut nicely then before I have them welded I'll draw an outline on a sheet of paper this way if anyone else wants to make one they can hit me up for a copy to lay parts before cutting and having welded. I am in Iraq right now Bald Air Base Iraq so it is not going to be some time till mid Jan 2006. I am sick of having to post after post to find someone who is making them so I will hook it up and provide instructions with a picture for others to follow once I get back so come mid January be sure to hit me up. I am an aircraft structural engineer in the USAF and work close in hand with some of the countries best machinist/welders so the job will be done right and that’s what I'll draw off of and make my notes for all to hook up F4i's. Now of course I am talking about cutting and welding two stock brackets with no brake drag problems. I can’t have any brackets machined since that would mean fraud waist and abuse the military is big on that stuff just keep in mind cast aluminum sucks for welding so you are going to have to know a really good welder. Take care guys
