97 FZR 600, Anyone stunting an FZR or have advice?
Anyone currently or in the past stunted an FZR600? I have a 97 and dont try to stunt much, but think it'd be fun to learn. It is pretty much stock. I can get the wheel up close to the BP but not quite. I know that the FZR has a high BP at like 10 o'clock or so. I can clutch it up around 20 mph and ride it to about 55-60 where I bring it down, Im doing it in 1st gear. Any one just have some advice about this bike?

I had an fzr a while ago. Similar to my F2 in power. Roll 2nd gear from about 20mph hard, quickly dab the clutch while simultaneously rolling lots more throttle, then feed out the clutch quickly. Less gas in tank, sit farther back, practice. If it isn't coming up, you aren't giving enough throttle. Maybe need to do it @ 25-30mph. -1 or + 3 in the rear helps a lot.
BTW, FZR's suck. Not bashing but it's the truth. Clutch/tranny is a weak point. I used to run em and sometimes @ WOT on the hwy in 6th my friction zone would change to the point of not even being able to shift w/the clutch.
When drag racing same thing, I'd have to keep adjusting the clutch lever till I had no adjustment left. Carbs leaked gas, oil leak....
but it held it's own by being a 600 inline 4. Go for 2nd gear, won't come up as quickly.

I most defintely agree. The FZR was not built for stunting. I'm not saying you can't do it, but expect to spend some money on your tranny if you want to keep doing it.
