Front Wheel Help.

I need to know how to get the front wheel off my bike. It needs to come off for polishing. I don't have much time.

Re: Front Wheel Help.

you're gonna need something to rest your forks on after

get a mate to lean the bike on it's stand, so that the front wheel's in the air - release the two pinch bolts at the bottom of each fork - release one/both of the calipers.

release the axle nut

remove the caliper, and slide the axle out

that's it

Re: Front Wheel Help.

That is a scary way to do things, wow I wonder why I never thought of that. Prolly cause I have a front stand. Good to know in case of emergency though,,neato.

If you do things that way just be care for what you rest those forks on.
